Smart Sensors for Connected Care

hello CODA

Connected Care - for carers of elderly and disabled living independently

Caring well for the elderly and disabled living alone can be a challenging, stressful reality for friends and family. CODA connects remote carers to their loved ones, providing peace of mind for both the carers and the person living alone.

Community of Connected Carers

CODA allows a community of remote carers to stay connected to an elderly or disabled person who is living alone. Once the non-invasive sensors are placed in a home, anyone who has permission can subscribe to the App and monitor the wellbeing of the independent person.

Easy-to-Use App

The App lets you monitor your loved one's wellbeing through real-time updates. You can also be alerted to long-term health and wellness trends, out-of-the-ordinary events, and emergency calls for help.

Effortless Setup

CODA simply requires two small sensor devices to be placed in the home around head height. No technical expertise is required – simply unbox, scan, place, and subscribe to the App.

Peace of Mind through Preventative Care

CODA uses AI to provide trend-analysis of overall health and wellbeing. The information empowers caregivers to detect changes in daily routines before they become emergencies.

The Coda App

Track Trends

Trends are important changes to normal patterns of activity that indicate changing wellness. Key areas of analysis are sleep patterns, trips away from home, cooking, and living room usage.

Understand Events

Events are occurrences out of the ordinary, such as ‘Kitchen not used today’ or ‘Not in the lounge when expected to be’. Through the CODA App, you can see if an event is a one-off occurrence or an emerging trend.

Emergency Call Response

You will be notified instantly if the person you are remotely caring for calls for help, so you can respond quickly and assist emergency services if they are required.

FAQ
  • CODA uses smart sensors to track daily routines and environmental factors like movement and temperature in the home. Instead of relying on cameras or wearables, CODA provides real-time updates through a discreet app, giving you peace of mind without compromising your loved one’s privacy. You’ll receive notifications when something changes in their usual routine, allowing you to stay connected without intruding on their independence.

  • CODA’s advantage lies in its simplicity and non-intrusive design. Unlike wearable devices that require charging or active use, CODA’s sensors work silently in the background, gathering data without disturbing your loved one. There are no cameras or microphones, ensuring privacy, and the system is designed to detect subtle changes in daily patterns, allowing for early intervention before emergencies arise. There are no wires and no internet is needed.

  • Yes! Setting up CODA is quick and simple. Just unbox, scan the QR code with the app, and place the sensors just above head height in key areas of the home—such as the living room and hallway or bedroom. No tools or programming or technical knowledge is required. The sensors don’t need internet, and come with long-lasting batteries that last 6 to 10 years, meaning there’s no ongoing maintenance or need for frequent recharging.

  • CODA sends real-time notifications about any changes in daily routines, trends that are heading in a direction that indicates more care needed, and sudden drops in the health score. You can customise how you receive these notifications—whether through the App, SMS, or email. Notifications are designed to keep you informed without overwhelming you, ensuring you can step in when needed while giving your loved one space.

  • Coda’s “call for help” feature allows households to set a specific noise pattern —such as knocking or shouting—that will trigger an immediate alert to caregivers and/or monitoring service. This function can be customised to suit users. CODA provides peace of mind, ensuring that responders and caregivers are notified instantly when help is required.
